A rating to compare the environmental impact of products
The environmental impacts of the product are calculated across its entire lifecycle and using various indicators. An overall rating (ABCDE) is given, allowing you to easily identify products with the best environmental performance by comparing similar products to each other (T-shirts, bottoms, backpacks etc.).
Decathlon actively promotes this visible environmental rating policy.

Analysing the product's environmental footprint enabled us to identify the most impactful stages of its life cycle. Thanks to this approach, our design teams were able to develop this product while significantly reducing its environmental impact.

Using artificial fibres obtained from wood pulp rather than virgin cotton reduces the CO2 emissions linked to the material by at least 38%.

Using recycled polyester rather than conventional polyester reduces the CO2 emissions linked to the material by at least 16%.

Product made from 92% cold-dyed yarn
Using this cold dyeing process enables us to reduce the CO2 emissions linked to the production of textiles by at least 14% compared to conventional dyeing.
